The Academy of Play and Child Psychotherapy (APAC) expresses deep concern regarding the escalating conflict and humanitarian crisis affecting Iran and the wider Middle East.
We are particularly mindful of the impact of violence, displacement, and uncertainty on children, families, and communities. Children living through conflict face profound risks to their emotional wellbeing, development, and sense of safety — effects that can endure long after hostilities cease.
As an organisation dedicated to the emotional health of children and the professionals who support them, APAC affirms the importance of protecting civilian life, safeguarding access to care and education, and upholding the dignity and rights of all people affected.
We join the international community in hoping for de-escalation, humanitarian protection, and pathways toward peace and stability for the people of Iran and the region.
