Academy of Play and Child Psychotherapy (APAC) is the largest, most experienced and dedicated Creative Arts and Play Therapy training organisation in the world.

APAC offers the Integrative Holistic Model of Play Therapy which is uniquely validated through excellent clinical outcomes.

We believe this provides a solid foundation preparing students with the knowledge, skills and experience to work therapeutically with children, young people and adults using play and creative arts.

Accreditations

All routes above are accredited: some by the University of Chichester in the UK  and the others by the University College Cork in Ireland.

Entry Requirements

The entry requirements for all of the routes require as a minimum Level 6 Honours degree in a related subject (UK)  / 2:2 on a relevant (Level 8) Honours degree or equivalent qualification within a relevant field. Please see each course page for more details.

Stepping Stone course

If you do not have the necessary qualifications, we offer a stepping stone course –  Level 5 Diploma in Developing Emotional Well-Being in Children and Adolescents – Convergent Practice. On completion of this course, you can potentially access our Postgraduate Play Therapy Programme via our Recognised Prior Learning route (except the MA in Practice Based Play Therapy (part time over 4 years) course).
