Thank you for your patience during this transition period. As with the University of Galway, University College Cork’s ethos and vision are strongly aligned with APAC’s; excellence in teaching and learning and a desire to make sure we keep the highest standards that our students expect.

Existing students do not need to do anything, you will continue with your course that you are on with NUIG.

We are sad to announce the end of our partnership with the University of Galway at the Academy of Play and Child Psychotherapy Ltd (APAC). Over the past 13 years, our collaboration has been incredibly successful, enabling numerous students to become qualified Play Therapists who make a significant difference in the lives of children facing emotional, behavioural, and mental health challenges.

We are delighted to inform you that University College Cork (UCC) will be offering APAC’s Play Therapy training across all three level 9 programs. This includes the Post Graduate Certificate in Therapeutic Play Skills, the Postgraduate in Play Therapy, and the MA in Practice-Based Play Therapy. We are excited about this development and believe that it will enhance the quality and accessibility of our Play Therapy training programs throughout Ireland.

Moving forward, our goal is to assist you in navigating this transition smoothly and provide the necessary resources and guidance to continue your studies uninterrupted. Existing students do not need to do anything, you will continue with your course that you are on with NUIG.

We deeply value the commitment and dedication you have shown in your pursuit of becoming Play Therapists, and we are fully committed to supporting you through this process. We believe that your passion for helping children and your resilience will guide you through this transitional period.

We would like to express our gratitude for your trust in APAC and the University of Galway throughout your educational journey. We are proud of the work you have done and the positive impact you have already made in the field of Play Therapy. We have every confidence that you will continue to excel as professionals in the future.
